Press Release

Statement on the Remembrance of Armenian Genocide

“Today I stand with the Armenian community around the world in mourning the loss of over 1.5 million men, women, and children who perished simply for being Armenian. On this 107th anniversary of the start of the Armenian Genocide, we must continue to keep the flame of vigilance lit and remember that the same forces of hate and oppression that initiated this brutal crime against humanity are still alive and well, continuing to pose an existential threat to Armenia and Armenians around the world.

While we must grieve on this solemn day, I remain hopeful and optimistic for the future of the Armenian community worldwide. The fierce devotion to faith, family, and culture has preserved and fortified the Armenian people for over two millennia, and will continue to propel the community to even greater heights, ensuring the martyrdom of so many over 100 years ago will not have been in vain.

To my friends and family in the Armenian community worldwide, know that I mourn with you today and will stand with you tomorrow and beyond.”
