Los Angeles Korean American Community Leaders Endorse Rick Caruso for Mayor
Los Angeles, California – A half dozen Korean American community and business leaders endorsed Rick Caruso for Mayor today, joining a growing movement of Angelenos supporting Rick’s campaign to clean up LA. The leaders join more than 5,000 everyday Angelenos who have signed up to support or volunteer for Rick’s campaign.
“Rick Caruso is a person who believes in family and community,” said Peter Kang “His philanthropy and public service on the Police Commission and the DWP Board give us confidence that he can clean up LA.”
“When it comes to homelessnes, crime and cleaning up City Hall, we know that Rick is the leader we need right now. A leader who can bring us together to solve our problems,” added Brad Lee, President of the LAPD Olympic Boosters and the past president of the Korean American Lawyers Association.
“Many people in our community are worried about hate crimes and public safety,” said Chang Y Lee, Chairman of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce. “Rick’s experience running city departments and as a business leader are the right combination for LA,” Lee continued. “And his commitment to work for a dollar a year shows how much he loves this city. We are proud to endorse him.”
“As the grandson of immigrants from Boyle Heights, I know how important it is to support our small business owners and communities, I am proud of my work with the Korean community and I will be a friend to the community in City Hall,” stated Rick Caruso.
Other leaders who endorsed Rick today include: Edward Koo, past president of Korean American Democratic National Organization, Douglas Chong past president of Korean American CPA Association and Peter Jungho Cha, of the California Koea Contractors Association. All of the endorsers released today are members of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce.
